Mr Trump is doubling down on his claim that, if not for the millions of people who voted illegally he would have won the popular as well. He took to his twitter handle and called out CNN specifically for been “so embarrassed by their total (100%) support of Hillary Clinton, and yet her loss in a landslide”.
Meanwhile election officials in California and Virginia are outraged by what the president-elect had said calling his claims “unsubstantiated” and “unfounded”. Democrats and leading Republicans are also furious over Mr Trump’s unsubstantiated claims.
White House press secretary, Josh Earnest, weighed in during a routine press briefing “what I can say, as an objective fact, is that there has been no evidence produced to substantiate a claim like that”.
Mr Trump’s continually claim that electoral process is rigged is mind-blogging. As president-elect he should focus on forming his cabinet and stop questioning the integrity of the electoral process.
