Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway took an unprecedented step of criticising President-elect Trump for considering Mitt Romney as his Secretary of State. Romney is the 2012 Republican Party nominee and the most vocal critic of Donald Trump within the GOP during the presidential campaign. He’s now thought to be one of the top contenders for Secretary of State, a job Rudy Giuliani also yearns for. Giuliani was supportive of Trump throughout the presidential campaign. He even stood by him when Access Hollywood tape was released, where Trump made embarrassing lewd comments.
Conway went public with her criticism tweeting “some Trump loyalists warm against Romney as sec of State”. Conway said she went public with what she’s been telling Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence in private. She told CNN “I am struck by the intensity and volume of resistance from grassroots”. Trump is an avid twitter and Conway cautioning him via Twitter might get his ears. But as Conway said the “decisions rest with one man, a man whose political instincts and unconventional campaign defied critics and made history”. That man is no other but Donald J. Trump.
